I have a few certain blogs that I check daily, and on all & sundry there was a meme posted about 2006 that I decided to fill in.

1. What did you do in 2006 that you’d never done before?
I traveled over 800 and something miles with a two and a half year old and a one year old. I will not do that again until they are.. 13 and 12.

2. Did you keep your new year’s resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
I do not even remember what, if any, resolutions I made last year. My resolutions for this year are not to ever believe the Financial Aid office of ULM ever again and to try to work out some.

3. Did anyone close to you give birth?
No one that I am really close to, but I did know a few people that had babies this year.

4. Did anyone close to you die?
Not any one in 2006, a two boys that I went to high school did though.

5. What countries did you visit?
Ha. None.

6. What would you like to have in 2007 that you lacked in 2006?
I would like to have Joey home more.

7. What dates from 2006 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?
October 16. That's when our house flooded.

8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?
Going back to school.

9. What was your biggest failure?
I did well at school, but I still feel like I could have done better.

10. Did you suffer illness or injury?
Nope, this year was good to me.

11. What was the best thing you bought?
Joey bought me a new camera and a beautiful necklace for Christmas.

12. Whose behavior merited celebration?
Blythe Anne finally decided to start using the potty. We wanted to have a Potty Party.

13. Whose behavior made you appalled and depressed?
Oh, I don't know... I can always find a reason to be depressed

14. Where did most of your money go?
Gas to get to and from school.

15. What did you get really, really, really excited about?
Going back to school.

16. What song will always remind you of 2006?
"How to Save a Life" by The Fray.

17. Compared to this time last year, are you:
a) happier or sadder?

a) eh. About the same.
b) Again, about the same.
c) A little richer.

18. What do you wish you’d done more of?
Laughing and having fun.

19. What do you wish you’d done less of?
Bitching and screaming.

20. How will you be spending Christmas?
I spent Christmas without my husband for the third year in a row.

21. Did you fall in love in 2006?
I fell deeper in love with Joey.

22. How many one-night stands?
Nope.

23. What was your favorite TV program?
With kids, I don't get to watch much TV, I mostly just watch reruns.

24. Do you hate anyone now that you didn’t hate this time last year?
No, I don't think that I really hate anyone this year.

25. What was the best book you read?
All that I have time to read now is text books.

26. What was your greatest musical discovery?
I do not think that I had a great musical discovery.

27. What did you want and get?
A new camera

28. What did you want and not get?
New furniture.

29. What was your favorite film of this year?
Joey took me to go see "Lady in the Water" when we went on vacation.

30. What did you do on your birthday, and how old were you?
I don't remember doing anything, and I turned 19.

31. What one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying?
Everything not breaking and the house not flooding. Everything from AC units, to heaters, hot water heater, DVD players, and Joey's truck (twice) all broke.

32. How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2006?
Comfortable and easy.

33. What kept you sane?
The new Starbucks on campus and having "Tuesday/Thursday Coffee" with some of the greatest friends ever.

34. Which celebrity/public figure did you fancy the most?
M. Night Shyamalan

35. What political issue stirred you the most?
The new law about folks not being able to smoke in public any more.

36. Who did you miss?
My Pa Pa.

37. Who was the best new person you met?
"Park" (Mark and Paul.)

38. Tell us a valuable life lesson you learned in 2006.
I figured out that it's ok if I don't always have all of the answers.
